"There ain't no doubt I love this land. . . "

". . . God Bless the USA."

I love, love, love the fourth of July. I mean how many holidays do you get to spend all day outside with your loved ones; eating, maybe swimming, and to end the night shooting off explosives!

I do love all of those things. But this year I was reminded how lucky I really was to be an American. I don't watch R rated movies normally. And when Blake rented "Act of Valor" the night before I was against it. But my love language being touch, the idea of cuddling got the better of me :). Though there were parts that made me squirm, and I even had to close my eyes. This was a very good movie about a week in the life of Navy Seals. And it made me appreciate what our service men and women do to keep America's freedom.

This year was also special because it was P's first fourth, and it was so much fun watching him enjoy everything for the first time. Can't wait for the many more.

We had tons of delicious food

For future journaling purposes. . . this is what we did:
  • We all went to the parade.
  • Ate lunch with Blake's fam at Porter Park.
  • We went home and took long naps.
  • We went to Blake's Parent's house and played on the Ginormous blow up slide.
  • We ate tons of delicious food (Bart made ribs).
  •  We watched big, illegal fireworks that Zach bought.
