Peyton's First Birthday

It's been a while since I've posted anything, mainly because the holiday season gets so crazy for us (as I'm sure is true for everyone). So I'm going to post a little backwards this week starting with the most recent. Confusing I know, but I'm waiting for pictures.
Just as the title states January First was Peyton's birthday. We are so lucky to have family close, because everyone on Blake's side was able to be there. And just my sister and her husband were not able to be there from my side. All in all we had a houseful. (so we had his party at my parents, so we could fit everyone)

Rainbow Cake - This turned out really cool. I think the knife I used was not sharp enough. Not only did it look cool, but everyone said it tasted great too. which surprised me because I used 2 1/2 tubs of icing on it.

For Peyton's personal cake I did a tye dye green and blue cake. I think he loved it, mainly because Blake and I have tried to not give Peyton sugar until he turned a year.

I can't believe my little guy is ONE YEARS OLD. This year really did go by so fast. Here is where Peyton is developmentally. . .
  • Says Mom, Dad, tries to say Grandpa and Grandma, and Aub
  • Takes 10-12 steps, but has not quite figured out how to stand up on his own
  • Eats food really well, as long as he can feed it to himself
  • Is really good at getting into EVERYTHING
  • Dances every time he hears music
Blake and I sure are blessed to have such a wonderful little boy! We have loved him as a part of our family and can't wait to see what the future holds for him!
