Yes, I realize it has been 5 months since my last post.
So here’s a little update on the family. In January. I
started working just two days a week in Idaho Falls. I work for the same people
I worked for before I had Peyton. My mom, the saint she is, watches Peyton for
me. It has been such a blessing to have her near. At the beginning it was very
difficult for me to go back to work. I’m talking sobbing while driving to work.
I’ve adapted though, and some days I look forward to going to work. My plan is
to work until Blake graduates next April, or when we have our second baby
(whichever one comes first, and this is not an announcement so don’t get any
ideas). I do enjoy working, but for me, I feel like I am needed home. Peyton is
getting to an age where consistency is so important, so we’ll have to see what
the future holds. . .
Blake has been so busy with school and his lawn mowing
business. We really just see each other for an hour or two before bed. It’s
hard, but probably a good thing. I feel so lucky to have a man that works so
hard to support his family. He is going year round at school, so he can finish
in the spring next year.
Peyton is 16 almost 17 months now and we are loving every
phase. He is starting to understand what I am saying, which I know might not
seem like a big deal, but for a mom, when you ask your baby to throw away his
diaper and he does it, you feel like “hey maybe I’m doing something right.” Another
proud moment as a mama, he has been sleeping through the night for four months
now. Can I get a Hallelujah! We love him so much and can't get enough of him.
We just feel so grateful for all the blessings that have
come into our lives.
Working out to my Jillian Michael's video |
Ps. Blake go me a new Canon EOS Rebel T3 for my birthday, so
I’m hoping that will be the push I need to be better at keeping up on our blog J
