Road Trip Through Montana

For my families vacation this summer we went on a road trip through Montana. Typically my ideal vacation is relaxing on the beach. It was fun to be with my family and see the beautiful sites. Our trip included visiting; Dillon, Glacier Peak, Logan Pass, Many Glaciers, Avalanche Pass, Kalispell, and Missoula.

Here is a funny story from the trip. . .

While driving through Flat lake Montana we were pulled over for speeding. What was worse was that we did not have our insurance card in the car, our license had expired by 3 months, and our left tail light was out. We were lucky when the nice local official let us off with only a $20 ticket.

What makes this story better is that the next day, we were literally 2 miles from our hotel in Missoula when we were pulled over again. What had happened was the road had tracks that Blake decided he needed to test with his low profile tires. So he was weaving in and out of the lines. Low and behold a cop just happened to be behind us when he tried his little experiment. Naturally the cop pulled us over for drunk driving. I was hoping the cop would make Blake walk on the lines, or say his ABC’s backwards, but when I asked the cop, he said they don’t do the ABC’s cause in Montana it’s hard for them even when they are sober. He let us off with a warning.

*a special thanks to my sister Mallory for being so good at getting pictures despite the complaints.
